Just upgraded to ios 7.1 and have done a couple of test routes and so far so good, looks like apple have produced a fix, fingers crossed.

iOS 7.1 has been released and is now available to download for the iPad.  I've done some testing on it today on an iPad2 and haven't had any problems with it crashing our website, so I think Apple may have resolved the issues.  Let us know what your experiences of it are.

Hopefully version 7.1 will resolve these issues when it is released (rumoured to be mid-March).  In the meantime, some people on the Apple fourms are saying they experience fewer crashes with the Puffin browser, which can be downloaded as an app.

Apple update 7.0.6, released today still hasn't solved the problem. Still a great web-site for runners

The word on the Apple forums is that Apple engineers are working on a fix for this bug and that it should hopefully be in the next iOS7 update.

If you're one of the many people experiencing problems with Safari crashing since upgrading to iOS7, please feed this back to Apple to help raise the priority of this issue.  Here is the link: http://www.apple.com/feedback/

Sorry I can't post good news, I'm sure many users already know but the recent update 7.0.4 still hasn't fixed the problem.

I'm afraid I don't have anything postive as an update on this yet.  I can tell you though that the tide of complaints to Apple about this is swelling, so hopefully they will start to do something about it soon.  As an example, take a look at the following discussion thread on the Apple iPad forum.  We started a thread of our own (referred to in a couple of the posts on this one), as did many others, but this one seems one of the most active and captures well the feelings and experience of many iOS7 users:

iOS7 Problems, Safari crashes

Apple engineers have asked for crash reports so we've sent this off.  This does at least mean they are looking into the issue.  Fingers they'll sort it out soon.
