That's great - thanks Karen.

Anyone else have any of the other routes?

So far we have Black Park Befont Lakes, Newcastle, Leeds, Bushy Park, Richmond

Hi,

The Black Park park run is being changed slightly, as the start area is too narrow for the increased number of participants. I have updated my route, and shared it for you.

Kind regards,

 Ian

This is form the ParkRun website:

As our numbers have increased we are finding that our start location has become unsuitable owing to the fact that it narrows down very quickly, and despite requests each week for slower runners and inexperienced children to start nearer the back we are seeing too many bumps and trips in the first few yards. As a result we will be changing the course from July 3rd onwards, with a new start on the track that runs from the top of the car park up between the Go Ape office and the café kiosk. This is a wider track with a better surface, and so we hope it will create safer start conditions. The new course will rejoin the original course at around the 700m point.

This link will show an approximate view of the new course: maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms

Hi Helen

Thanks for that  - but I can't see Park Run Bromley - do you mean in the member race routes section as I can only see Bromley ParkRun?

Thanks Helen - I was assuming you had shared both and was looking for your name.  I've deleted it now.

Hello , i try and do the PARKRUN Cambridge  every week. It is a good run out 9 am start, leaves you feeling good for the rest of the day.

Last weekend - i was away visiting family in the Royal Forest Of Dean , so i gave the Coleford Parkrun a bash...very different to cambridge.  The course cuts back on itself and you see runners disappearing off in different directions into different thickets. I was concentrating so much on not getting lost  i forgot to worry about my rasping breath.

You can find Parkruns all over the place. I will be trying Sheffield soon as i have indoctinated my sister into the Saturday Morning habit.

We have now added a selection of the parkrun events into our new regular events section.  You can find these by searching on the race name or going into 'browse race diary' and selecting the regular events tabs.  We plan to add others over time.

I've done all three over the years and prefer Richmond but its the toughest downhill on tarmac early on then flat grass and finally uphill last mile plus on cycle trail. Wimbledon is flat two loops cross country but can be a bit muddy in parts. Whereas Bushy is flat fast single lap mostly on trail but gets very crowded and i find it a bit boring.

You takes your pick!

Tell me what you think.

Andy
