Help! Not sure this is the place, really, but if anyone's free in Birmingham this Saturday morning (28th May), Cannon Hill parkrun is very short of volunteers (it being a bank holiday weekend). If you're already registered as a parkrunner, you get 100 points toward your yearly total for volunteering (up to 3 times). If you've never volunteered, give it a go - you might just find you enjoy it! If you've never been to a parkrun... What have you been doing with your Saturday mornings?! Any parkrunners visiting Brum for the bank holiday come along - you'll be very welcome, whether running or volunteering. It's quite a quick course, by the way - our record is 14:59! |

Barely a week goes by without me either running in or volunteering at a parkrun - usually Cannon Hill parkrun, occasionally Brueton Park (Solihull), Coventry or Leeds. I'm up north this weekend for my Mum's birthday/Mother's Day on Sunday, and thinking while there I might pop over to do Leeds parkrun (fourth appearance) or perhaps head east to Hull parkrun for the first time as it's their 1st birthday. I wonder if there are any GRG folk doing either of these on Saturday? |

Easy! Several beers, a curry, a night on a mate's sofa bed, arriving 2 minutes before the start, no warm up... oh, and I was taking it easy anyway as I had a 5-miler today! |

Oh yes, 19:53 not too shabby, but how do you explain 22:30 the following week? |

on the subject of parkrun there is a not very well advertised search facility under Choose From. This enables one to check results of any given person for all the prakruns they have ever done! Thus i know Dave did 23 something for his best run and Keith did a 5 second pb....wait.... that was last week ....when this weeks result is up we should see a shiny new 25 second pb! |

Terrific turnout for Cov parkrun this morning - a record 202 for their 1st birthday, many of whom came in fancy dress or wearing party hats, and many had brought cakes and party food, so the atmosphere was even better than usual at parkrun. |
