Our aim is to cater for all levels of runner, from the sub-five minute miler to the ten-minute miler. Amongst our Club members you'll find competitive as well as social runners of all standards. The Club was founded in 1978. Throughout the year there's a variety of races to take your interest - half-marathons, marathons, 10K races, fell races, etc - and we keep club members up-to-date with local and national race fixtures by email and through our web site. In the summer months it's mainly road races but in the autumn and winter months Northbrook actively participates in the cross-country season. We enter teams in the local cross-country league, (usually staging one of the races) and offer opportunities as well for non-competitive off-road running. Each year on average eight of our members compete in the London Marathon. Ladies are well represented at Northbrook, entering teams in cross-country league races as well as having a notable presence in marathon and other distance road races. We stage a 10k road race each spring/summer in support of local charities. Why not come along on a Wednesday night to the Jaguar Sports Club and give us a try. After a shower we meet up in the bar.
