This is an old post but noticed that Graeme had been running in Fanabe area, and I've just returned from the same place. Training in warm weather along the seafront in light t-shirt and shorts was a world away from layering up against the bitter chill here in the UK winter!

I've run around the Player de Fanebe area (and will upload the routes) but looking at the map Los Abrigos is some distance away. My experince of running in Tennerife is that it is safe and there are plenty of routes you can develop. It's generally flat by the sea itself but climbs quickly as you move inland.  I'd recommend going out first thing when its cooler and the pavements are much less crowded then as well.

Have a great holiday!

Yes, its a great way to explore another when on holiday.  If you find some good routes then please add them to the site.

Hi NW

Same as Antony, nothing specific but I took my trainers to Cyprus a couple of months ago and have never enjoyed running so much. Getting out in the warm weather every morning totally transformed running from a chore to a joy (and meant that I could enjoy the food and drink in the evening guilt free!)
