Ohh, how maddening. My experience of ITB problems are that they don't go away quickly and really need rest. However, you can try foam rollering - look at utube videos to see how - its painful. Exercises to strengthening your glutes and transverse abdominal muscles might help, as well as stretching you hip flexors. Do you have flat feet? Shoes with good arch support can be helpful if this is the case. I'm sure that th emiles you have already banked will still stand you in good stead. I wish you the best of luck.
