OVERVIEW

Morgan's Hill is one of the highest palces in Wiltshire and as such thought an ideal place to site a gallows used in 1790 to hang a certain John Morgan. The Wansdyke is a 5th Century earthwork possibly built to defend the Kingdom of the West Saxons. The first couple of miles follow the course of an, oddly twisty, Roman road.
