Newlands Corner is famous for being the place from where Agatha Christie staged her own disappearance in 1926. Her car was found abandoned in chalk pits and there was a Nationwide hunt. Several days later she turned up in a hotel in Harrogate registered under her husband's mistresess's name. St. Martha's Church is isolated at the top of St. Martha's Hill with great views of the surrounding countryside and is believed to date from the 12th Century.

The three surrey hills run was absolutely perfect. I think that it would be a great cardio run for me. I really enjoyed its beautiful view.

A nice trail. Very wet at the moment as expected (December). Footpaths and Bridal paths very slippery so good footwear is essential. A good mix of descents, flats and steep inclines.

Ran this run during 'the fog'. Although no views!, running down from the top of St. Martha's Hill was beautiful - like Santa's grotto with all the trees covered in icicles.
