OVERVIEW Box Hill was actually named after the Box Trees that grow on its chalky cliffs and not after its shape. The Box Hill Estate was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1912. The area is popular with walkers and pick-nickers and there is a National Trust Visitors Centre as well as a refreshment kiosk. |
