We are very pleased to announce the second River Avon 6/12k Trail Run, which will be held on the morning of Sunday 26th February, 2017. We will also be including our usual 1k/50m races.
Race start times:
50m – 9:40am - Under 5’s only
1k – 9:45am – All ages and abilities – (Parents/Guardians are welcome to run/walk with their children free of charge)
We are introducing wave starts for the 6/12k race this time around, simply to ease congestion at the first kissing gate.
12k runners will have the option of two waves.
Early – 10am (Provisionally reserved for the more competitive runners)
Middle – 10:05am (All runners)
6k runners – 1 wave (all runners): Late – 10:10am

A stunning off road, multi terrain course. The 6k is a single loop, the 12k a two loop course which will incorporate thrilling trails, open countryside and woodlands.
Course description: Undulating.
Race Registration will open at 9am for the collection of race numbers and will be held near the Keynsham Marina (Next to the Lockkeeper pub) Postcode: BS31 2DD

Parking: There are several car parks within 10 minutes of the start and finish, the closest being directly opposite the marina.
Toilets: Portaloo’s will be available for this event.
Catering: There will be catering facilities available serving hot /cold food and beverages from our preferred catering van.
All runners will receive a medal
The event will be timed.
12k trophies will be awarded to the following:
Overall Male 1st, 2nd and 3rd
Overall Female 1st, 2nd and 3rd
1st Senior Male and Female
1st Male and Female V40
1st Male and Female V50
1st Male and Female V60+
1st Male and Female U20
There will also be trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female overall 6k winners.
1k finishers will receive a goody bag.
There will be a suitably placed half way water station for the 12k runners and the finishers table will be laden with its usual fruit, cake and treats.
First Aid will be in attendance and the course will be fully marshalled.
