Maverick Original Dorset Trail run

Date / Time
Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
Length 4.66 miles (7.5 km)
Description

Dorset is the Home of Maverick Race and we welcome you back for 2016 to this fantastic location with open arms. Located at Brenscombe Outdoor activity centre, deep in the Isle of Purbeck and on the famous Jurassic coastline, steeped in history dating back to the ice age. You can enjoy running through the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, along Nine Barrow Down taking in some of the most fantastic views with Poole Harbour to your left and the beautiful seaside town of Swanage to your right.

This route takes in Old Harry Rocks, wild garlic woodlands, the heathlands around Agglestone and the forest through the Rempstone Estate. If you're only planning on doing one of the Maverick Original trail series then make it this one, it will leave you breathless... literally!

Why not make a weekend of it?  With very reasonably priced rooms available at the venue you could get outdoors and discover what else the local area has to offer. What are you waiting for?  Come join us as the outdoors awaits.....

As with all Maverick events you can expect up to 3 on-course hydration and nutrition outposts provided by OTE, along with finisher T-shirts and medals for all competitors.  There will also be prizes for the winners of each distance male and female.
