Race Guide
Fritton Lake XC Half Marathon

Date / Time
Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
Length 13.10 miles (21.1 km)
Description

Returning to a traditional Spring race after the 2016 & 2017 Summer editions this event offers you a unique opportunity to run through pristine woodlands & open meadows in a privately owned estate with glimpses of the beautiful Fritton Lake and plenty of mud included! Run in conjunction with the British Red Cross for 2018 you can take the opportunity to raise valuable funds for this charity if you wish.

Both the XC 10km and the XC HM will start at Fritton Lake Outdoor Centre with the Half Marathon comprising two laps, and the 10km one lap of an off road course. With a route that takes in a complete circuit of the beautiful Fritton Lake, on woodland trails not normally open to the public, this is XC at it’s best. Enjoy stunning views, glimpses of the lake throughout the woodland and feel at one with nature as you challenge yourself in this event. With varied terrain of 90% undulating woodland and meadowland and a short section on tarmac drive, there is always the possibility of an extremely wet and muddy route due to the close proximity of Fritton Lake.

Finishers medals, prizes to age group winners and top 3 males and females overall.
