Saturday 25th November 2017 will see competitors return to the home of UK Towerrunning to once again tackle the 877 steps, 35 floors of Broadgate Tower in the heart of The City of London.
In 2017 we are pleased to announce several changes to the format of the competition, allowing you to compete and raise money for a charity of your choosing. Please see the logos of charities currently signed up at the foot of the page, however if your charity doesn't appear then please contact us with a view to adding them to the challenge.
At stair climb events competitors usually only get to climb the tower once, however in this pioneering event we are offering opportunities for you to climb a quarter or a 'Vertical Mile' - 3 climbs, or for the true endurance athlete an opportunity to go for the full 'Vertical Mile', climbing Broadgate Tower an incredible 12 times over a 3 hour period. Spaces are very limited for these challenges, so be sure to get in quickly if you want to supercharge your challenge.
Running alongside this charity event will be the elite race, which comprises 2 climbs of The Tower, with aggregate time deciding the overall result. This category is not only open to registered elite athletes, but also anybody who in the past 12 months has reached the required sporting standard. See Event QandA below for entry criteria. In 2017 The Broadgate Tower Run Up also hosts the final of the Towerrunning UK Championship, the culmination of a season of tough head to head competition.
This is really set to be a festival of towerrunning the likes of which have not been seen in the UK before, don't miss your opportunity to be part of this incredible event. We look forward to welcoming our regular competitors and especially all those new to towerrunning to Broadgate Tower on Saturday 25th November.
