Description
The 7th Tonbridge Half Marathon is once again being staged jointly by Tonbridge Rotary Club and Tonbridge Lions Club to raise money for local charities.Runners are also encouraged to raise money for their own chosen charities - over £50,000 was raised in each of the first six years!
This is a BARR Gold Standard race. It is being organised by Martin Burke of Nice Work. Nice Work is an experienced race management company with a long track record of successful events. The undulating course is on traffic-free lanes through beautiful countryside around Tonbridge and Leigh. It is a challenging race where you'll receive huge support as you go through the tranquil village of Leigh, both on your way out and again on the way back, and an equally enthusiastic welcome on your return to Tonbridge.
Finishers receive a medal and goody bag and can pre-order a technical t-shirt. There are great facilities for changing, bag storage, pre- and post-race massage facilities, LOADS of toilets and a large café in West Kent College. There is lots of parking in the college and Judd School and the college is half a mile from Tonbridge Station. Tonbridge is on the A21 nine miles south of Junction 5 on the M25. The race village includes The Running Hub, a specialist running shop based in Tunbridge Wells, able to supply running shoes, running clothes and running accessories.
