The Hemel 10K and 1.5K Superhero Fun Run returns to Astley Cooper School, Hemel Hempstead on Sunday 9 July 2017, raising funds for Rennie Grove Hospice Care.
The charity’s popular multi terrain 10K offers a challenging route through the surrounding countryside and begins at 10.30am. It is open to anyone aged 12+ (12-18 year olds must have consent from a parent or guardian and must be accompanied by an adult on the course) and costs £20 to enter, which includes chip timing, a t-shirt, water at stations along the route and a medal on finishing the race.
The 1.5K run calls for all Superheroes to unite and gather at the start line at 10.00am. This race is open to all ages (a parent or guardian must be present on site). Superheroes are encouraged to wear their heroic disguises as the best dressed runner will be awarded with a prize! It costs £5 to enter (under 5s go free) and all participants will be given a medal as they are cheered to the finish line.
Last year nearly 500 people took part; the charity hopes even more people will sign up in 2017 and raise around £20,000 in sponsorship.
Rennie Grove provides 24/7 responsive end-of-life care to local patients with cancer and other life-limiting illness and their families. All proceeds from the Hemel 10K will go towards funding this service, which is offered at no cost to patients or their families.
Places will be limited so sign up today. For more information or to register, please visit www.renniegrove.org/hemel10k or call 01727 731 000 to register.
