SwimRun Fritton lake

Description
New for 2017 this Swedish style Ötillo event takes place in the beautiful Fritton Lake and on trails not normally accessible to the public through the Somerleyton Estate.
In teams of two you will complete a 10km course comprised of 6 run sections and 5 swims. Each leg offering stunning views and varied terrain. Always within 10m of your team mate on the swim and 100m on the run, you will share the experience, the fun, the beauty and the suffering as you race the pre-marked course alternating between running and swimming.
Running in your wetsuit/swimming kit and swimming in your trainers you will travel through beautiful unspoilt surroundings immersed (literally!) in nature.
The route totals approximately 1800m of open water swimming, entering and exiting at various locations along the lake. Together with approximately 8.2 km of mixed terrain running you will explore both sides of the lake and cross the Norfolk/Suffolk boundary many times.
