We are very pleased to announce another Aspire inaugural event to be added to our race calendar this year. The Mendip Outdoor Pursuits 10k. This will be held on the morning of Sunday 16th October, 2016.

This race will commence at 9.30am.
Course description: Hilly
This is an amazingly diverse course, which we can only describe as exhilarating, challenging and fun. The route takes in the glorious Mendips Hills, the Butcombe Trail, Sandford Quarry and will incorporate public footpaths, stony tracks, muddy trails, woodland and open countryside.
Camping Offer: Mendip Outdoor Pursuits are also offering you guys the chance of basic camping the night before for the amazing price of £6 per person. You are able to book this offer during the online booking process. Hopefully this will appeal to you all, if we get 20+ the bar stays open later… Surely that’s worth camping over for.
Race Price: £13 Affiliated – £15 Unaffiliated.
Race registration will commence at 8.30am for the collection of race numbers and will be held inside the Basecamp room which is located inside the main building of the Snow Centre.
The start and finish will be held within the Mendip Snow sport Centre’s extensive 250-acre site. Signage and marshals will guide you to this point.
There will be toilets at the Registration area, plus shower/toilet facilities available at the start and finish point.
Parking: There is free parking available but please do consider car sharing if possible. Otherwise please ensure you allow time to park considerately in the surrounding area.
Hot/cold beverages, snacks and scrumptious meals will be available to purchase from the Alpine Lounge… The Snow Centre’s amazing café, restaurant and bar.
All finishers will receive a medal.
The race will be timed.

There will be suitably placed half way water station on the course and the finishers table will be laden with its usual fruit, cake and treats.
First Aid will be in attendance and the course will be fully marshalled.
