Congratulations on one Year of running! I too have only recently started running, entered a marathon on a bit of a whim last June. Just ran 20 miles today in 2 hours 45mins and feel great!(apart from the odd ache :-) ) Never believed I could do it. Site has been great for motivation so thank you all and fingers crossed for my marathon three weeks today. Best of luck for anyone else new to running taking part in events this spring! |

Yes, well done Emma - I hope you've had a great feeling of satisfaction from it all and are keeping logging your runs - great to look back on. |

well done Emma, we all get small niggly injuries that push our training back a bit - just rest up, recover and get back on the plan. |

I have just worked out that it has been 1 year yesterday that i 1st decided and tried to run using the Couch to 5K programme. I am now training for my 1st Half Marathon in Reading in April and have completed 5 x 10K races and numerous parkruns and i have now joined my local running club too. If it hadnt been for the fact that i hurt my ankle slightly on Saturday i would have completed my first ever 13 mile training run at the weekend too. |
