Hi all, does anyone have this problem, know how to treat/prevent it or what's causing it? I've tried having my shoe laces tighter and looser, but I've seen no difference. The pain is during running when my foot moves from heal towards toes, and after the run when I lift my toes, but not when I raise up onto my toes. |

Auria I can't quite figure out why you would want to lift your toes when you run? I suspect you are running a tense foot and this is causing the problem. Try this at home: just walk around and focus on lifting your heel behind you while keeping your foot and ankle completely limp/relaxed. There should be no presssure on your toes at all. The other possibility: you are over-striding and pushing hard off your toes when you run/jog. So again, slow down take baby steps and let your heel "kind of" float up behind you. If you can work on both of these exercises it might take the pressure off your toes. The key is to relax your lower leg as you move. I hope this helps - let us know how you get on. |

Hey, thank you :) I don't lift my toes when I run, I wrote that misleadingly (word?). It's just that after I've run I've a sore foot, which is worst when I left my toes. Lifting my toes is not something I would normally do, but since I've discovered that that's when it hurts, I seem to do it all the time now - babbling, sorry. I'll try to relax my lower leg when I run and see if it helps :) |
