Yes I've entered the dirty double and persuaded my brother along too (he lives in Norfolk) so he's having problems doing any hill training! Having said that he completed an Iron Man earlier this year!

Yes I did notice that my number had changed for both events. I'll make an effort to meet up with you in November.

Cracking time Nick.  Yep, doing the Dirty Double next month, even if I'm carrying an extra 5 pounds from today's birthday cake and festivities.  I realised at Keswick that I have a new number for the autumn series (thought you kept the same one all year, but I was wrong).  So we really should make an effort to meet up this time round if you're doing both?

You missed a great route but the hills were worse than the Keswick route - very steep. The weather was fantastic but extremely hot and I melted all the way round even with the camelback!

Very pleased with my time 1:43 which my pace matched the Keswick race even with the heat we had (26 deg C).

Hope your gran has a good birthday (and you enjoy it too). Are you running in the next race in 5 weeks time?

Hi Nick.  I've been very lax with this forum but wanted to wish you all the best for Coniston if you're doing it.  I'm missing this one as it's my Granny's 90th birthday tomorrow, and I'm trying desperately not to feel jealous.  Best of luck - and make sure you take the suncream and Camelpak!

Hi Cat how did you get on? I completed in 1:38 which I'm delighted with. An excellent route but the 2KM up through the bogs was something new. Just as well it was raining otherwised I'd have melted.
