I've had my FR60 for a few months and I'm delighted with it. The online manual is easily understandable and the features are great. I chose it because GPS is so poor round here I didn't see the point of paying for GPS. But when I've tested it against a friend with a GPS watch, the footpod has been much more accurate, even over long distances. I would also agree that HRM / footpod package is the best way to go and you can get some good deals on amazon. |

I've had my FR60 with HR monitor & footpod for just over a year & it has worked faultlessly. I've downloaded & installed a firmware update, when Garmin Training Centre notified me of it, with no problems. As for the online manual, it is a downloadable PDF file that I keep on my desktop & I find it easy to use & informative. For indepth real world reviews of Garmin units, including FR60, 110 & more visit: http://www.dcrainmaker.com/ & look for In Depth Product Reviews in the right hand sidebar. |

you can always find a bad review about something and poor Kate seems like she had a dud. I have an FR60 and find it fantastic. Only issues with Garmins are that you do have to figure them out yourself because the instruction manual is very poor (for all Garmins). The website download ones are OK but if you go for one and need assistance, just shout! |

Ha ha! I'm now torn between FR60 and Garmin 110, but everything seems to have at least one bad review! |

Thanks for your replies, although I'm now somewhat undecided after reading Kate's comment's! Think I might research it a bit more but not sure that I want to go down the GPS route, mainly because of cost. |

I have just returned my 3rd within a year. The first one the mode button fell off within a minute out the box, the 2nd one was good for quite a few months then just started going a little mad, saying one minute I was doing 8 min/miles, the next 4 min/miles as well as thinking on one run it was 2015, another time 2006. Garmin replaced it in December. After a month of working fine it has been returned as again completly makes up my pace and distance. Not sure its just me with the bad ones as my friend got hers just over a year ago and its lost all accuracy lately. Garmin would only swap it if within the years warranty, however she works for AA who work closely with Garmin so they've swapped it for her. As I've whinged enough now to Garmin they are swapping mine for a GPS 110. However my husband bought me the 305 last week to shut me up. They are big but I love it. Its so easy to use and they have great reviews. I was against them at first as so big and I wanted a more girlie watch but now I just want one that really knows how far I've gone. |

Yep- got one recently, and love if for the graphs it outputs, the numerous alarms that can be set, the 'virtual partner' feature, and the configurable screens. If you do go for one, get it with the HR monitor and footpod - much cheaper as a package than buying the pod seperately.

Thinking about buying a Garmin fr60, seems to get a good write up. Anybody got one and would you recommend it? Currently got a basic Polar but it doesn't give enough information. |
