Good luck with your first race. The best thing about running is racing as far as i'm concerned. not really the somewhat painful experience itself but the satisfaction of ahving done the best you can. I know you are not thinking about times but to give yourself a chance you need to feel fresh so shorten your runs (certainly no 37 minute outings in the latter part of the week!) and maybe a couple of days complete rest.
