Another newbie saying hi to newbie! I've just started running again for the first time in a decade and am following the C25k plan using an iPhone app ... enjoying it so far! |

It was devised ages ago by this guy called Josh Clark to get his mother running ... and starts you off really gently alternating running and walking in longer and longer bursts. Ideal for someone who hasn't done any running in a long time and spends too much of their work life sat on their arse in front of a computer. I've just finished week 1 of 9 and feeling pretty positive about moving up a gear.

Hi Douglas AND Elly your starts both sound so positive well done. Reminds me of when I started just last July! Def start slowly and build up steadily. Don't increase your distance by more than 10% each week. It'll build strength and prevent injuries better than you realise. Set small goals and reward yourself when you do them. Mainly enjoy it! It's changed my life for the better and anything is better than nothing at all! Good Luck Adrian Perks |
