I used the website jog.fm and trawled through all the pages, with the songs they say for my pace, to find the songs I actually liked and then did my playlist from that. Ive got one now that i can happily jog too, im slow and I dont go very far (1.24 - 1.7 miles at a time) cos Ive only been 'jogging' for 4 months now, but Im getting there!

Ive got a track too, thats on my playlist, that is at slightly faster pace, so when that comes on, i know I have to go a bit faster, but its only to the end of that track and then I know I can go back to my normal pace!

I am trying to learn my own pace and found running with different people helpful, not being afraid to go slow is a good thing, as speech is impossible otherwise!  I started running in September and have just done 3 miles at a chat! 4 miles and I cant talk ....yet.

Hi,

When running at easy pace, you should be able to breathe through your nose on occassion with your mouth closed.  You should also be able to chat fairly easy.  The whole run should feel easy.  Also, start very slowly and gradually speed up through the run (this should help with pacing).
