OVERVIEW If you want a nice pleasant route in the centre of London where you don't have to fight through the crowds, then this is it. There are nice wide paths throughout which makes for easy running, and although the park can be busy there is plenty of space for all. The route follows the perimeter of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens passing by many famous landmarks. Hyde Park was used as a Royal hunting ground by Henry V111 from 1536 and it remained private until James I allowed limited acccess. However it wasn't until 1637 that the park was opened completely to the general public.
