OVERVIEW

The picturesque village of Bibury is the base for this varied run around footpaths, fields, tracks and lanes. There are a few stiles and gates to negotiate and the occasional muddy patch but there is plenty to enjoy during this nice English countryside run.

The much photographed picturesque Arlington Row of cottages promted William Morris to describe Bibury as the most beautiful village in England. These were originally 14th Century Sheep Houses later converted to Weavers Cottages.

Very well mapped run, but I did get a bit confused coming away from Bibury. The kissing gate was very over grown next to the farm yard and at the end of the field, the farmer had cordoned off the corner fo the field so had to back track round the road. Outside of Ablington having gone down the track I came across a river in the field that wasn''t on the map (Flood!) uckily the route took you right up the greenest of valleys with horses looking down from above.
