Description

EVRC's 4 mile road race returns for its 8th year.

The route is a 4 mile loop starting and finishing at the Navigation Inn in Breaston (DE72 3BP). There's a large beer garden and the finish area is in a large field behind the pub which makes it perfect for supporters to wait and runners to recover.

Its an undulating route with 1 mile gentle up to get the heart rate up, 1 mile of a little undulation, 1 mile of a fast gentle down hill and finishes with the final mile being on the old (and flat) derby canal for a fast finish straight into the beer garden of the Navigation Inn. Its perfect for beginners and people after fast times..just go off at 5k pace and hang on :) .

We have a race limit of 150 people and we'll take entries on the day providing we haven't filled up.

There'll be prizes for individual positions and team positions with bonuses for anybody that can take down the course records which are:
