We are very pleased to announce another Aspire inaugural event to be added to our race calendar. The new Monarchs Way 6/11k. This will be held on the morning of Saturday 2nd July, 2016. Both races will commence at 9:00am (all runners)

An amazing diverse multi terrain course that will be held on a mixture of Railway  path, the Monarchs Way plus the trails alongside the stunning River Avon. All this whilst taking in the beautiful backdrop of the Avon Valley. The 6k is a single loop, the 11k a two loop multi terrain course which will incorporate the Bristol to Bath Railway Path, public footpaths and open countryside. The course is flat and will be suitable for all standards of runner.

11k – £12/£14
6k   – £10/£12

Race registration will commence at 8am for the collection of race numbers and will be held at Avon Valley Railway’s Bitton Station but this is a completely different course to our usual Avon Valley Railway 4/10k.

Parking and toilets: There is limited parking at Bitton Station, so please, please do car share if possible or think about seeking alternative transport.

All finishers will receive a medal.

The race will be timed.

There will be 11k winner’s prizes for the following:

Overall male 1st, 2nd and 3rd
Overall female 1st, 2nd and 3rd
1st Senior male and female
1st male and female V40
1st male and female V50
1st male and female V60+
1st male and female U20

And overall male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes in the 6k.

There will be suitably placed water stations for runners and the finishers table will be laden with its usual fruit, cake and treats.

First Aid will be in attendance and the course will be fully marshalled.
