We are very pleased to announce another Aspire inaugural event to be added to our race calendar. The Keynsham (Broadlands) 5/10 Miler. This will be held on the morning of Sunday 22nd May, 2016. Both races will commence at 10:00am (all runners)

We are so sorry but this event isn’t Canicross friendly.

This is an amazingly diverse route. The 5 miler is a single loop, the 10 miler a two loop multi terrain course which will incorporate public footpaths, stony tracks, muddy trails, woodland and open countryside. The course is hilly/undulating.

The start and finish will be held within the grounds of Broadlands Academy, Keynsham, Bristol, BS31 2DY.

Prices:
10 Miler – £12/£14
5 Miler   – £10/£12

Race registration will commence at 9am for the collection of race numbers and this will be held inside the Broadlands Academy Sports Hall.

There will be separate male and female changing/toilet facilities available.

Parking and toilets: Limited parking will be available at the school, so please consider car sharing for this event. Otherwise please ensure you allow time to park considerately in the surrounding area.

Hot/cold beverages, bacon butties and snacks will be available to purchase from the Schools Canteen throughout the event.

All finishers will receive a medal.

The race will be timed.

There will be 10 miler prizes for the following:

Overall male 1st, 2nd and 3rd

Overall female 1st, 2nd and 3rd

1st Senior male and female

1st male and female V40

1st male and female V50

1st male and female V60+

1st male and female U20

And overall male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for the 5 miler.

There will be suitably placed water stations for runners and the finishers table will be laden with its usual fruit, cake and treats.

First Aid will be in attendance and the course will be fully marshalled.
