This will the 16th Kirkbymoorside 10k and it is a big day for our town. The race is based right in the centre of Kirkbymoorside, starting and finishing in the same location. The finish is a wonderful downhill stretch along the High Street and spectators line the street and  encourage finishers all the way to the end. Even if this is your first 10k, you will feel an enormous sense of achievement as you come down the hill! 

The event attracts local runners, club athletes from Yorkshire, neighborouring counties and even a few people from other areas of UK and abroad who make it an annual event. There is therefore a competitive element amongst club runners who find this quite a challenging road race but also plenty of people who come to enjoy the day and perhaps try and achieve a PB (personal best). With other races on offer too, stalls on the streets, shops and cafes open, it is a great day out for all the family.
