We are very pleased to announce the second event of 2016 at the amazing Warmley Forest Park, this will be held on the morning of Saturday 22nd October. The races will commence at 10am and will include a 5 or 10k option. There will be 3 10k waves options to choose from.

This event is canicross friendly.

*Please note there will be a separate wave at the start of the event for 10k Canicross runners only, so could you please advise us in the special request box when booking through the online entry system that you will be running canicross. Thank you in advance for your help with this*

Important wave information. Can entrants please specify (except canicross runners) in the special request box on entering the online entry system what their last 10k time was (or you can choose your wave time yourself using the entry tools) as we will now be allocating the waves as follows:

Early 10k wave – 10am – Sub 50
Middle 10k wave – 10:05am – Sub 60
Late 10k wave – 10:10am – All welcome
5k wave – 10:15am – All 5k runners (including 5k canicrossers)

A stunning multi terrain course that will be transverse over a mixture of broadleaved woodland, scrub and open grassland with a small section of the route on the Bristol to Bath Railway Path (No spikes for this one) The course is flat/undulating with a few small cheeky hills thrown in and will be suitable for all standards of runner. All this whilst taking in the beautiful surroundings of the Warmley Forest Park, a former extensive clay quarry. The whole area has now matured into a thriving Wildlife area. You will also take in beautiful ponds and the Siston brook rushes alongside the Eastern boundary. The Forest Park is a public open space that can also easily accessed by bike, car and bus.

The 5k is a single loop, the 10k a two loop course which will incorporate trails, public footpaths, open countryside, woodland sections plus the Bristol & Bath Railway Path.
Race Registration will start at 9am for the collection of race numbers on the day and will be held within the Visitor Centre, which is just 50m inside the Forest Park entrance.
Location: London Road, Warmley (A420) opposite the Midland Spinner Pub (Postcode BS30 5JB)
Parking and toilets: There are two toilets, but no parking on site at the Visitor Centre. There is limited parking plus toilet facilities at the Public Car Park in Station Close (Off Warmley High Street, BS30 5JB) which is located 100m from the Park entrance. Further parking details to follow.
All finishers will receive a medal.

There will be 10k prizes for the following categories:

Overall male 1st, 2nd and 3rd
Overall female 1st, 2nd and 3rd
1st Senior male and female
1st male and female V40
1st male and female V50
1st male and female V60+
1st male and female U20

There will also be male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall prizes for the 5k race

The event will be timed.
There will be a suitably placed half way water station for the 10k runners and the finishers table will be laden with its usual fruit, cake and treats.
First Aid will be in attendance and the course will be fully marshalled.
