Hadleigh Castle overlooks the Thames estuary from a ridge to the south of the town of Hadleigh. Built in 1215 during the reign of Henry III the castle is now preserved by English Heritage as a Grade I listed building and scheduled monument. Hadleigh Country Park, which surrounds the castle, is one of the largest country parks in Essex. It takes its name from the nearby castle.

Races can be entered either individually or as a series. Runners that sign up for the entire series receive a technical series t-shirt.  Every runner will receive a goody bag after each race. Results will be posted on line shortly after each race.

Course: Mixture of cross country and paved paths over a hilly landscape. Traffic free

Teams: £10 per member (5-10 members per team).

Individual Race

Prizes will be awarded to the first five male and female runners

Goody bag for every runner.

Series

Grand Prix points will be awarded after each race. The runners with the highest amount of points will win the series.

Series trophies will be awarded to

First five male and female runners

Category winners (V40, V50, V60+, LV40, LV50, LV60+)

In order to compete for the series trophies runners must finish four out of the five races.

Running Club Competition

The Running Club with the most amount of finishers over the entire series will receive a cheque for £150.
