Aspire Running Events are thrilled to announce the 1st of a series of 3 12/6k running events at Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park starting on Sunday 29th March, 2015 at 11am.
We are Associate Members of The Association of Running Clubs: Membership No: A113. An ARC permit has been applied for and therefore this event will be held under ARC rules.
Avon Valley is one of the West Country’s most popular family destinations. A truly memorable day is promised.
The course is multi-terrain, totally off road and a 2 lap 6k and will take place over Avon Valley’s extensive land and fields, including their farmland. There will be twists and turns… Oh and lots and lots of mud, weather permitting of course… But it’s the UK so almost guaranteed! Although mostly flat, this course is not for the faint hearted, it will be challenging to say the least… With stunning views of the River Avon and the Skyline of Bath and Kelston. It is a fantastic course and a real treat for novices too.
The route will be marked with our usual run route signs and will be chip timed.
The Race will begin at 11am, with Registration opening at 10am. There will be a limited amount of “pay on the day” entries available, but these will incur a £2 extra per entrant surcharge.
Your race packs will be available for collection on the day from the Collection Point at Registration.
First Aid will be on hand and the route will be fully marshalled.
Finishers will receive a medal and goody bag. There will be a half way water station available and the finishers table will have our usual lovely nibbles and fruit for you to enjoy.
There will be plenty of parking, toilet facilities and there will be a catering outlet on the day for hot food/beverages – Pre and Post race.
