Description
The Peak District Challenge is a charity race event which is taking place on 29th and 30th August.
Participants can choose to walk or run distances of 25km, 50km, 80km or 90km. The 25km and 50km Copper and Bronze challenges leave Hathersage Memorial Hallon Saturdaymorning. The Silver and Gold 80km and 90km challenges beginon Fridayevening and need to be completed within 24 hours. Hathersage is easily accessible by public transport from Sheffield and Manchester as we try to ensure that the event is as environmentally friendly as possible.
The Peak District Challenge’s chosen charity this year isSALVE International; who work with children on the streets of Uganda to grow opportunities for a better future. Those willing to support SALVE through the event are very welcome to do so, but participants can also fundraise for any charity of their choice.
Participants are provided with event t-shirts, hot food, and a celebration day for everybody involved. Last entries for 2014 will be taken on 17thAugust.
