The event takes place at Edmonscote Athletics Stadium in Leamington Spa, all children will be able to run races on the athletics track in front of family and friends.
Festivities will kick off at 10am with our standard Kids Run Free Races running until 11am.
10.00 am - 50m - 0-2 years old
10.10 am - 100m 3-4 years old
10.20 am - 250m 5-6 years old
10.30 am - 500m 7+ years old
10.40 am - 1km 7+ years old
10.50 am - 2km 7+ years old
At 11am the Kids Marathon celebration will commence, children will be asked to run as many laps of the track as they wish within an hour. Children can run as much or as little as they wish. This is designed to give children from participating schools a chance to complete their marathon and give other children and schools a taster of Kids Marathon.
Presentations will then commence from 12.00 pm until 12.30 pm, all children who took part in the Kids Marathon will receive a certificate stating their overall distance. Any children that have completed a marathon distance over the school year will receive a medal.
Whilst the running races are going on, Star Track will also be organising field activities to give children a taste for high jump, long jump or throwing events!
