The South Devon 10k is a feel good, community event promoting health, learning and raising money for local charities. Organised by students and staff at South Devon College in association with South Devon Athletic Club, it is a real life learning experience for sports and public services students who will all have roles to play on the day, whether it's marshalling, time keeping or being part of the race day communications team.

The event includes a 10 kilometre (6.2 mile) race through an area of outstanding natural beauty, a ¾ mile fun run and features lots of family fun activities. The start and finish point is at South Devon College's main campus at Long Road, Paignton. The circular route takes runners into the beautiful South Hams countryside along little known bridle paths and farm tracks, right down to the Mill Pond at Stoke Gabriel.
