New for 2014, and set to become one of the classic UK's ultra running events, the Isle of Wight Challenge follows the stunning coastal path for over 100km right around England’s largest island. Whether you’re an occasional marathon runner looking to go a bit further, a seasoned ultra marathon competitor, or just someone who loves running and looking for a great new event in a fantastic location – the Isle of Wight Challenge could be for you! The on-event support, route signage, free food / drink at rest stops, medics & massage makes this challenge special – and makes it an ideal event to step up your distance, or set a keen target time to beat. •100+ km - Start / finish West Cowes. A really tough ultra marathon! •50 km - Half the island starting in West Cowes, past the needles and on & a bus back! The coastal path is made up of public footpaths and quiet country lanes. You’ll encounter spectacular scenery, with great levels of support and hospitality, including free food & drinks at rest stops, medics & massage, and a pre challenge camp for those up for a long weekend. This challenge is tough - but makes it even more rewarding for you - and you can help others by fundraising for us.
