For the last three years, this great pool based sprint triathlon has seen a full entry of 600 competitors by early September so enter early to avoid disappointment. Not only is this our last triathlon event of 2014, it’s also the end of many triathletes' racing season and the start of others' triathlon careers. So what can you expect from your last race of the year? You’ll find over 100 novice triathletes taking part in their first ever triathlon. There’ll be a great party atmosphere as we play host to many UK triathlon club championships. Expect some fast racing times as more and more individuals each year go under the hour. After an unusual 414m swim, competitors head off on to the 2-lap 20k bike course with its gentle undulations through the villages of Roade and Stoke Bruerne. The race is brought to a conclusion with an out-and-back (twice) 4.5k run route that brings competitors back on site after the first out-and-back, finishing with a lap of the school field and a long run in to the focal finish area. Once finished, relax and soak up this unique event's atmosphere.
