Race Guide
Woodhorn Museum 10K
Date / Time
Length
6.21 miles (10.0 km)
Description
New for 2013, the Woodhorn 10K offers something for everybody. The course is fast and flat on good quality footpaths, offering club runners the potential of achieving a great time, while the scenic course and great finish line atmosphere ensure the event is also perfect for beginners and fun runners.
Starting and finishing at Woodhorn Museum, a Scheduled Ancient Monument with fantastic activities and exhibits for all the family, the 10km course is based entirely on good quality footpaths away from any traffic. The route sees runners skirt the lakeside before heading out for two laps in the serene woodlands of Haydon Letch. Runners then return to the QE2 Country Park and a final lap around the lake, finishing in the grounds of the museum (hopefully with a big smile!)
