This event is a major fundraising opportunity for Helen’s Trust, attracting up to 1400 runners on the day and raising vital funds to maintain valuable services helping incurably ill people stay intheir own home. After the huge disappointment of being forced to cancel the 10K run earlier this year due to poor ground conditions at Chatsworth, Lucy Nickson, CEO of Helen’s Trust and Race Director, Lucinda White, are thrilled to announce that the 2013 race will be going ahead and its full steam ahead to race day! This year the event will incorporate a 10K across the prestigious estate, a 3K Fun Run and new for 2013 a Teddy Bear Toddle for 0 – 5yr olds, lead by our very own Bakewell Bear. The 10K start horn will fire at 9.30am prompt followed by the Fun Run at 11.30am which is open to adults and children alike, especially those wishing to run in fancy dress! All participants willreceive a bag packed with goodies at the finish line and cash prizes will be awarded for winners and veterans on the day. This year Corporate Teams are also being encouraged to take part and a star prize will be awarded to the team who raise the most amount of sponsorship. The Teddy Bear Toddle for 0—5yr olds will take place during the Fun Run and Chatsworth ice- creams will be given out to all ‘toddlers’ who take part. Participants and volunteers will benefit from free parking, discounts in the Chatsworth retail shops, including the Farm Shop* and discounted entry into the House, Gardens and Farm Yard.
