Description
Voted 2nd most popular UK marathon of 2011 by readers of Runners World UK, the Brathay Windermere Marathon is a fundraising event held to support Brathay Trust's work with disadvantaged and vulnerable children and young people. Following a course which is a complete circuit of Windermere, England's largest lake, the Brathay Windermere Marathon takes in Hawkshead, Newby Bridge, Bowness and Waterhead. In 2012 almost 1000 runners enjoyed the stunning scenery around the challenging 26.2 mile course. We are hoping for 1300 runners in 2013.
